Tich Ward

Teams- Cambuslang Rangers, Blantyre Celtic, Glencairn, Cathkin etc. Great ariel ability while comfortable with the ball at his feet with an excellent  range of passing. Greatest tackler with a sense of leadership while on the park.

Reading all the stories about my dad is great to hear, everybody I meet tells me he was up there with the best they've played against, to the anonymous who doubts where he is from it is rutherglen and from what I've heard it's him and andy that deserve to be up there, thanks for all the votes

Would much rather have Tich on our side than against us - fierce competitor whom I had the pleasure of playing with and against (preferred the with) comments below do not do Tich justice as he was extremely good on the ball and his game was not all about having a great desire. The Ru'glen team could do a lot worse than lining up with Fyffie, Andy and Tich, these three would let the guys in front of them go and express themselves no bother and the team wouldn't need a goalie.

Jocky boy, loads of folk frae Springhall, like me, class themselves as true C'mslangers, if Tich classes himself as a true Ruglonian that's fine, wouldn't be me though.

Played with Richard , he could header a ball further than most players could kick it ,not the biggest player but had unbelievable timing in the air.

Can someone provide some more information on Tich's career please: was he a central defender: what was his best game? - Who was his football hero? Did he score many goals? Where does he come from in Rutherglen ? Has he won many trophies ? Was he quick ? What famous player did he look like ? Any other information that readers of this website would find of interest. Thank You
