The Franco Baresi of Rutherglen. Tough tackler and not easy to beat. Competitive and aggressive ball winner. Retired too early. I think he won a Scottish Cup under 18's medal when he played for his school.

Gerry played left back. Great enthusiasm for football. Played for the Glens and Vale of Clyde. He was as blind as a bat. Used this as an execuse to referees when he flattened a winger ! Great guy to have in your team. Came from the prefabs in the Spittal. I think he now lives in EK. Also played in the Isle of Man select team.
