William Robb

William Robb (20 March 1895 – 18 February 1976)  was born in Rutherglen. He was a goalkeeper. He played in England for Birmingham and Aldersho and in Scotland for Hibs and Rangers  He won two full  caps for Scotland .

He must have been a tough goalkeeper. To have played 241 consecutive games at a time when it was acceptable for a centre forward to Shoulder Charge a goalie into the back of the net is amazing. Goalkeepers suffered al sorts of blows and injuries at that time. He must have been as touch as teak.
